Why Trane Has Been Dominating the HVAC Industry for Decades

Why-Trane-Has-Been-Dominating-the-HVAC-Industry-for-DecadesAt H & H Heating & Air Conditioning, we are proud to install Trane furnaces, air conditioners, and more. We only work with top brands, and we can say with confidence that Trane is one of the very best brands in the HVAC industry. The company originated in 1885, and in 1931, it became a pioneer in air conditioning. Trane never stops innovating, which is one key reason why the company remains an industry leader more than 100 years later.

Here’s why Trane continues to dominate the HVAC industry – and why we highly recommend their products to customers in need of heating and air conditioning replacement.

A Family-Focused Approach

H & H, and our customers, always prefer a family-focused approach. Trane shares this value and history. Reuben Trane, the son of the company’s founder, James A. Trane, worked for the company after high school. He later earned a degree in engineering and used his skills to improve the steam traps in the vapor heating system his father had invented. Reuben also went on to design the Trane cooling coil, which set early Trane air conditioners apart.

In the 1920s, Trane brought on another family member: Frank Hood. He helped shape the company’s business strategy and innovation direction.

Innovation

As anyone who’s hired a local heater repair company knows, there is always room for improvement in HVAC design and efficiency. Trane has spearheaded a lot of this industry innovation over the years. For example, in 1938, they released the TurboVac, a chiller that was simpler and more reliable than other air conditioners at the time. Then, in the 1970s, they invented the VariTrane, an air terminal device that was able to change the volume of air sent through a system, leading to vast improvements in efficiency.

Today, as efficiency becomes even more important, Trane continues to improve its equipment to meet and exceed sustainability standards.

Customer Education

If you’ve ever called H & H for repairs or for heating system maintenance services, you probably realized that we like to educate our customers. Trane shares our passion for education. In the 1930s, they released Weather Magic, a periodical for engineers, architects, and contractors. Today, their website boasts a variety of articles and infographics to help homeowners and business owners better understand their HVAC needs.

Leadership Values

Over the years, Trane has also focused on recognizing and honoring their employees’ contributions to the company. Several of their key employees have been with the company for more than 40 years, and a few have been with Trane for more than 50 years.

If you’re in need of a new heater or air conditioner, don’t hesitate to call H & H.
